Dogwoof acquires award winning political thriller 'King's Game'...

Dogwoof Pictures announces the acquisition of all UK rights for the Danish award winning film KING´S GAME, to be released nationally in September 2005.

KING'S GAME (Kongekabale) is an award-winning political thriller that recently won numerous awards including Best Film at both audience and critic awards in Denmark.

The film is set weeks before the general election when the leader of one of the country's largest parties, is involved in a severe car accident. The political scene is thrown into disarray, and there is a ruthless struggle for power. Speculation in the press and calculated lies fuel the controversy at great personal cost to many of the people involved. One journalist becomes obsessed with learning the truth and he has to face the power elite on his own.

The film, acquired from Trust Film Sales, and was the biggest grossing film in Denmark last year.
